Baby Nail #3

We found out about Baby #3 on December 10th. Gabe had a stomach bug and I thought I was getting it too. I started to notice that I only felt sick at night, which is what I do when pregnant. I went to the store that day and bought a test, just to rule it out. As soon as I took it, I saw the positive and FREAKED. We were so so shocked and excited.

We spent the next few days wrapping our heads around the news. The next week proved difficult as the doctor couldn't find the baby and then after multiple blood tests, felt that I had lost the baby.

On December 21st, we had another ultrasound (after my hormone levels had gone back up) and they found a baby! They confirmed that I am only 5 weeks along. Next week we will go back and hope to see more growth and a heartbeat!

We are so thrilled and thankful for another amazing blessing!!! We can't wait to meet you baby nail!

Birdy was waiting in the car after my appt and took some pictures as I told Gabe the great news!

Loftin's Arrival

Loftin Keith Nail was born on March 15th (2 days after his due date) at 3:25 PM!

Baby Shower

My sister in law and cousin threw us an amazing baby shower while we were expecting our little man!

It was so special and right on theme with Loftin's nursery!

My coworkers also sent a baby shower in a box, since I work remotely!

39 weeks

How far along? 34 weeks

Baby is the size of? A honeydew melon (19 inches!)
Total weight gain/loss: 18 pounds from my start weight
Maternity clothes? Oh yes
Stretch marks?  No new ones :)
Sleep: definitely tossing and turning, going to the bathroom, and waking up for water! All to prepare for Loftin's arrival
Best moment this week: Invites for our baby shower are out! We've also gotten a few more things together for the nursery!
Movement: yes! He is moving non stop and I love it. 
Food cravings: sweets!
Anything making you queasy or sick: no!
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Gender prediction: it's a boy!
Labor Signs:  nope
Belly Button in or out? Pretty flat at this point

Baby is the size of? A butternut squash  (17 inches!)
Total weight gain/loss: at my last appt I was up 17 pounds from my start weight
Maternity clothes? Oh yes
Stretch marks?  No new ones :)
Sleep: I'm up a few times a night to change positions or go to the bathroom or get water-- the worst lately is extreme dry mouth so I wake up for water more than anything
Best moment this week: Loftin was given a few things for Christmas, which made his arrival more real feeling. My parents had a stocking and a Santa bag made with his name on it. DiDi and Jed gave him a lovey... A sailor dog. And Jordan and Blair gave him some comfy PJs!
Movement: yes! He is moving non stop and I love it. He moves the most when I lay down on the couch in the evenings. You can see him moving when you look at my stomach.
